Refresher Portable© is an automatic refreshing application with dual browser capability for your web browser. The dual browser gives a split screen of two web browsers where you can simultaneously surf the web on different web sites.
While using Refresher Portable© you can set a refresh level which is where the current web page refreshes at your set time automatically. For example, it may refresh every 30 seconds or every 5 minutes, it is up to you. Refresher is useful for checking sport scores, web mail or the status of an on-line auction. Basically, any web page where the data is constantly changing.
Refresher Portable© is so versatile everybody can use it in a variety of scenarios:
- It can be used to prepare you to win an auction. For example, in dual browser mode, one window can have your bid ready to go and the other window can be automatically refreshing with the current auction information, such as time remaining and current item price.
- It can also be used to automatically refresh your web mail to check if you have any new emails.
- A sport fan that is monitoring a web page may set a refresh level every 1 minute showing two different web sites, so that they can remain constantly updated with the latest scores automatically.
To get Refresher Portable© you will need to launch it from the overview page.
Refresher Portable© is a simple bar at the top of the web browser page, allowing you to customise the refresh rate.
No, Refresher Portable© is totally free to use and available by logging in to our web site and launching the application.
If you automatically get logged out of your website (within 10 minutes of inactivity for example), then by using Refresher Portable©, you will remain logged in. Refresher does not have access to any of your personal details, it simple refreshes the page, which makes the website think that it is still active.
The bar may disappear on certain websites if that particular website has code which will not allow it to be viewed within a frame. Unfortunately, Refresher Portable cannot be used on these websites, however Refresher PRO can be!!
You may open as many Refresher Portable© windows as you like.
Yes, Refresher Portable© is free to use and may be run on as many computers as you like. Each user must agree to the End User License Agreement ("EULA") found with the application.
Resize the web browser window so that all of the icons can fit. If you have tried this, check that the screen resolution is a minimum of 1024 x 768.
Refresher installs the executable file (which runs refresher), settings for your Auction Template, a wav/sound file to alert you of your reminders, the help file and an uninstall file.
